Leland Babitch, MD, MBA
President & CEO
Dr. Leland Babitch serves as the president and CEO of iMPROve Health. Under his leadership, iMPROve Health has grown into a trusted partner for federal and state agencies, Medicaid programs, and healthcare organizations nationwide. Dr. Babitch oversees a talented team of more than 100 professionals and manages a portfolio that includes quality improvement initiatives, medical review contracts, and dispute resolution services nationwide.
A board-certified pediatrician and nationally recognized leader in clinical informatics, Dr. Babitch brings more than two decades of experience in health information technology, compliance, medical management, and strategic planning. He is an expert in electronic medical record implementation and interoperability and has held executive roles in academic medicine, large hospital systems, managed care, and national consulting firms. His career includes serving as Chief Medical Information Officer for the Detroit Medical Center, Executive Medical Director with the Advisory Board’s Clinovations division, and Pediatric Medical Director for United Healthcare Community and State.
Dr. Babitch is a fellow of both the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Healthcare Executives. He currently serves as President of the American Health Quality Association. He continues to teach and practice pediatrics as an adjunct assistant professor at Wayne State University School of Medicine.
He holds a B.A. in Genetics and Developmental Biology from Northwestern University, an M.D. from Wayne State University, and an MBA from Michigan State University.
